Mark your calendars now for the upcoming Midwest HIMSS 2010 Fall Technology Conference! This educational conference will be held October 17-19, 2010 at the Marriott City Center in downtown Minneapolis. Sponsoring chapters are the Minnesota, Greater Chicago, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and the Wisconsin Dairyland Chapters of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
The call for proposals for the Midwest HIMSS 2010 Fall Technology Conference is now open.

If you have practical information and experiences that you can bring to help healthcare clinicians, managers, consultants, and business and technology experts make sound decisions regarding patient focused services, we want you to join us and share that information at one of the breakout sessions. Submissions must be received by July 15th, 2010.

Welcome to the Michigan Chapter of HIMSS.

The Michigan Chapter of HIMSS (MI-HIMSS) is dedicated to improving information systems management in Michigan's health care institutions. MI-HIMSS was formed in the Spring of 2002.

Chapter members come from diverse backgrounds, all involved in some aspect of health care information systems and management. Our members consist of professionals from hospitals and clinical organizations, third-party payers, administrators, information technology systems vendors, consultants, management engineers, telecommunications professionals, physicians, nurse and medical informatics professionals, and essentially anyone interested in the trends of health care information and management systems. HIMSS Virtual Conference & Expo, June 9-10, 2010

The June 2010 HIMSS Virtual Conference & Expo will be held June 9th and 10th. This year's theme is Transformational Approaches for Achieving Meaningful Use. The conference’s educational program will focus on the many aspects and opportunities for achieving meaningful use in different care settings, including community hospitals and clinical practices. Additionally, through two tracks, IT Adoption and Utilization, and Usability and Human-Computer Interface, the educational program will highlight the innovative approaches, strategies, actions and awareness needed to transform healthcare.
